The band had another busy Christmas season in 2014, with concerts and carolling all over the local area.
Elim Pentecostal Church, Bath
On 7th Dec, the band played in their own bandroom to the always appreciative audience, mainly of the church congregation. Tea, coffee and mince pies were followed by a sing-along of carols and Christmas favourites with readings and prayers.
Mencap – Carrswood Centre, Twerton
Our second visit of the year to the Carrswood centre on 9th Dec to play for Mencap was one of the highlights of the festive season. Christmas singalongs, Larry’s jokes and a chance to join in with the band were all enjoyed. The band were also privileged to accompany Michael with his rendition of Music of the Night by Andrew Lloyd-Webber. As usual, Larry finished off the night with the Hokey Cokey.
Broughton Gifford Village Hall
On Sat 13th Dec, the band played for the annual family Christmas concert at Broughton Gifford Village Hall, near Melksham. An extremely festive atmosphere with warm mince pies and mulled wine was enjoyed by all. The band played a selection of Christmas pieces and carols. Father Christmas even made an appearance and handed out presents to all the children.
Christmas in the Park, Peasedown St John
We were thrilled to be invited back to play at Peasedown St John for their annual Christmas in the Park event on Sat 20th Dec. With fake snow and plenty of singing, we somehow managed to keep warm playing carols outside for everyone to join in.

A full schedule of carolling outside supermarkets in Chippenham, Melksham, Trowbridge and Bath, helped get shoppers in the festive mood and restored the band funds so that we can continue to perform for the local community. The band supports many charities, including Mencap, Dorothy House Hospice and The British Legion and sometimes performs for free. We could not continue to do this without your support – thank you for all your donations. This year we raised over £4000 with our Christmas concerts and carolling.
